Behind ‘Miezepluis’ is Janneke Razenberg: an illustrator, writer, journalist, photographer and (photo) editor from Raamsdonksveer, The Netherlands.
Her illustrations are often inspired by her childhood, her study in ecology and animal behaviour, her childhood, the nature around her and her favourite four-legged friends Bromsnor, Beer, Mitje and Rinde. Her very favourite materials include watercolours, graphite pencils, oils and gouache paint. She also loves to work on small soft sculptures out of fabric and wool.
She’ll be publishing her very first picture book in 2023. The little Dutch picture book featuring the adventures of a curious pony and her stick horse friend, will be written, illustrated and self-published by Janneke.
Besides illustrating and painting, she also really loves the medium of (film) photography to tell her stories. Her photography can be found at Brom & Company.
She mostly creates autonomous work, but occasionally likes to partner up with magazines, small companies and individual clients. Feel free to get in touch with Janneke by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
